St John's United is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a CNA, you will provide direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living and providing effective, timely, and quality health care assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with showers, daily dental and mouth care, undressing/dressing, hair care, and nail care.
  • Position residents in comfortable positions for pressure relief and assist with bowel and bladder functions.
  • Assist residents with lifting, turning, moving, and transporting them into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, etc.
  • Answer resident calls promptly and provide post-mortem care as instructed.
  • Perform housekeeping and general cleaning tasks, including changing soiled linen and bedding, disposing of contaminated items, and making beds.
  • Take vital signs, observe residents' well-being, and report changes to supervisors.
  • Participate in and receive the nursing report on assigned shifts and maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior experience in a human service or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Current Montana State Nurses Aide Certification or completion of the SJU CNA Course with certification within 120 days.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal communication, interact effectively with residents, family members, and coworkers, and work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects, understand and follow safety policies and procedures, and use various healthcare supplies and equipment.
Working Conditions:
  • Work involves some exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, fumes, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.
  • Work involves frequent exposure to hazards, blood-borne pathogens, or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Normal healthcare environment with exposure to plants and animals.
