Exercise Physiologist

The Exercise Physiologist plays a vital role in our Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation team, working independently and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide personalized therapeutic interventions and exercise programs for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

• Evaluate and assess patients to develop individualized exercise programs tailored to their needs and goals.
• Design and implement exercise prescriptions to promote optimal physical and psychosocial well-being.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
• Provide education and training to patients and staff as needed.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental operational plans.

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or a related field.
• One of the following: evidence of formal internship completion in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and Exercise Prescription, or one year of experience as an Exercise Physiologist in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation or a clinical cardiovascular setting.
• Preferred: ASCM Clinical Exercise Specialist Certification (CES), ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP), or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP).
