We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the General Surgery & Trauma Unit at Loyola University Medical Center. As a PRN RN, you will provide exceptional care to our patients and contribute to a supportive and team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working with a PCT and charge RN to facilitate unit needs.
- Manage a wide range of diagnoses, including traumatic brain injury, polytraumas, and surgical procedures such as cholecystectomies and joint replacements.
- Participate in hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and WIND (What is needed for discharge) rounds to maintain patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care and promote a positive patient experience.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing (BSN or ADN)
- BLS provider certification (accredited by the American Heart Association)
- Illinois Board of Nursing license
- At least 1 year RN experience for a PRN position
