Construction Inspector

Rinker Design Associates, LLC is seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our civil engineering services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of transportation projects in Northern Virginia.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
- Monitor and report on construction progress, identifying and addressing any deficiencies or issues.
- Collaborate with contractors to resolve any issues or concerns, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Verify the accuracy of construction materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain project records, including daily diaries and pay quantity records.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; advanced relevant training preferred.
- VDOT inspection experience and knowledge of roadway, structure, and bridge construction methods, materials, and standards preferred.
- Working knowledge of computer equipment, software programs, and field inspection equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications preferred.
- Ability to apply mathematical formulas and engineering principles to determine minor adjustments to construction plans.
