About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Server Assistant to join our team at Kimpton Hotel. As a Server Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome restaurant guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all dishes are served at the correct temperature.
  • Deposit dishes in the dish-room or designated area, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Clean and set tables according to restaurant standards, emptying trash containers regularly and restocking bussing stations.
  • Learn and maintain product knowledge of our menu offerings, including food, wine, and beverages.
  • Perform buffet set-up and refill as needed, ensuring that all areas are well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Assist the Bar in re-stocking and polishing glassware, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Communicate effectively with other staff members and management to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in a related or supportive role is preferred.
  • Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Awareness Certification (if applicable) are required.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn our Restaurant POS system is required.
  • Highly motivated and flexible, with the ability to take initiative and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
