Job Summary

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing all duties associated with the acquisition, processing, and submission of general and specialized ultrasound images. You will work under indirect supervision to provide high-quality patient care and ensure the accuracy of imaging results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound exams on patients, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of ultrasound technology and its applications.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Registered Sonographer or Registry Eligible through ARDMS or ARRT.
  • ARDMS or ARRT certification required in accordance with Work Instruction EMP 8.
