Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors, while also providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility accurately and in a timely manner, including proper management of informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
  • Evaluate and manage donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Manage donor deferral, reviews test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results, as per applicable SOPs.
  • Initiate and investigate Post Donation Information (PDI), and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when necessary.
  • Assist the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program, as required, including conducting pre-placement evaluations of new hires and maintaining employee medical records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized educational program.
  • Minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting, preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
