Faculty Position in Social and Behavioral Sciences

We are seeking highly qualified researchers to join our team at the University of California, San Francisco. The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and the Institute for Health & Aging are committed to excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff.
The successful candidate will have a strong research background with a focus on one of the following areas: health equity, aging and the lifecourse, community and population health, digital health and data science, and symptom science. Alternatively, they may have expertise in other areas aligned with current SBS and IHA strengths, including health policy, sociology, health economics, global health, healthcare systems and institutions, bioethics, and sociology of health, medicine, and science and technology.
The ideal candidate will have a Doctoral Degree or equivalent terminal degree and a demonstrated record of extramural funding for research. They will also possess excellent teaching and mentoring skills, have a record of contributions to university and public service, and have demonstrated evidence of professional competence.
The successful candidate will be expected to cover their salary, fringe benefits, and other expenses through extramural funding. They will also be required to mentor graduate students and other trainees, include trainees on research projects, and teach as needed.
