About the Job

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and contribute to our Enterprise Risk Management team as a Principal Actuary. As a key member of this collaborative team, you will be involved in various aspects of our ERM program, including ALM strategy, risk management, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective ALM strategies to manage Securian's liability-based investment portfolios.
  • Lead analysis of ALM-related risk frameworks, including liquidity, credit, and interest rate risk.
  • Provide thought leadership on ALM reporting, assumption-setting, and financial projections.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive growth and profitability within risk appetite.
  • Partner with Securian Asset Management to develop General Account strategies and lead risk analysis efforts.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to enhance ALM risk frameworks and promote a strong ALM risk culture.
  • Represent ERM on enterprise projects and contribute expertise to ERM initiatives.

Requirements

  • Hold an ASA or near-FSA actuarial designation.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with curiosity and initiative.
  • Demonstrate solid technical aptitude and ability to learn new tools.
  • Exhibit excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Show self-motivation and flexibility, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
