Position Summary

The Warehouse Picker/Packer Associate plays a crucial role in the logistics process by efficiently selecting and packaging orders. This position involves label generation, product inspection, and the use of specialized equipment to prepare items for shipping and receiving, ensuring that customer requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately select items for shipment, verifying the correct quantity and type of products.
  • Measure, weigh, and count inventory items and materials as needed.
  • Operate forklifts or order pickers for order selection when required.
  • Package orders for various shipping methods, including parcel, LTL, and TL carriers.
  • Document product, packaging, and order details on designated forms and records.
  • Attach appropriate shipping and tracking labels to packages, ensuring compliance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.
  • Notify supervisors of any missing items or discrepancies in quality.
  • Ensure that all outbound shipments are accurate and undamaged.
  • Inspect containers, materials, and products to confirm adherence to packing specifications and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Participate in inventory and cycle counts as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ensure readiness for inspections by SQFI, FDA, and other customer requirements.
  • Report any incidents or issues promptly.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Complete additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Minimum one year of experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
  • Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
