Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Project Manager to join our team at Halff. As a Survey Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing survey projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee survey projects, including developing project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Lead and supervise project teams, including survey technicians and engineers
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including risk management and quality control
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Manage and maintain project records, including documentation and reporting
Requirements
  • Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor License (RPLS) or SIT within 1 year of taking the Texas Specific Surveying Exam (TSSE)
  • At least 2 to 3 years of demonstrated management experience as an SIT/Licensed Surveyor
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with mentoring and training Survey Technicians
  • Ability to successfully manage projects including developing scope of work, schedule, and fee
  • Able to successfully lead and supervise a project team on projects of all sizes and levels of complexity.
  • Experience in TxDOT ROW Mapping and Design Survey Project Management
  • Technical understanding of Trimble Business Center and Openroads (ORD) MicroStation
  • TxDOT Pre-certifications are desired.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with Land Development and Public Works projects is a plus.
  • Technical understanding with Civil 3D.
