Waste Connections US, Inc is seeking a skilled Gas Technician to become a vital part of our team.
Compensation: $20-$30+/hr, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on landfill gas systems.
- Collaborate with the Lead Gas Technician to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Foster positive relationships with landfill staff, consultants, and suppliers.
- Utilize gas analyzers for monitoring gas wells and probes.
- Perform maintenance tasks on pneumatic pumps, including inspections and repairs.
- Oversee liquid levels in gas wells.
- Execute HDPE pipe fusion tasks.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in gas technology.
- Ability to adhere to established protocols with limited supervision.
- Willingness to learn and navigate the landfill safely.
- Capability to work outdoors for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Flexibility to perform diverse tasks daily.
- Availability for on-call responses to gas collection systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Physical ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Competence in data collection, interpretation, and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with leachate collection systems.
