Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases.
  • Assist medical and radiation oncologists with patients in clinic, with primary responsibility to the medical oncologist(s).
Working Conditions:
  • Functions under the authority of the Clinical Oncology Manager in accordance with the nursing guidelines provided by the Director of Nursing.
  • Maintains good attendance record, arrives to work punctually, follows dress code, observes confidentiality, adheres to safety policies, participates in continuing education, follows department of nursing and hospital policy and procedures, and complies with call and staffing assignments.
Clinical Duties:
  • Accurately takes and records patient's vital signs and other appropriate patient observations.
  • Collaborates with other members of the health care team to ensure effective patient care.
  • Ensures all tests results have been completed prior to patient visit.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with associates or bachelor's RN degree.
  • Current Alabama RN license.
  • Certified CPR certification.
Salary:

$75,000 per year, based on experience.
