Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Lab team at Lakeland Hospital St Joseph. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. This is a full-time position working 10-hour shifts, with variable on-call requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Partner with patients and families to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting patient-centered care and patient empowerment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient education and learning in the electronic health record, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Current MI Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within one year of hire.
- NIH Stroke Certification - NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale required within 90 days of hire.
Work Environment
This position is located at Lakeland Hospital St Joseph, with variable on-call requirements. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
