Position Overview

Mount Indie is seeking a highly skilled Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer to contribute to critical projects. In this position, you will provide essential support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) GMD Ground System Development Project Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the GMX System Engineering Lead and Deputy by fostering collaboration with the GMD Industry team.
  • Perform technical evaluations of GMD NGI strategies, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and project milestones.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to ascertain NGI delivery timelines, monitor progress, and prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of the system engineering lifecycle to analyze and address program challenges, proposing viable solutions that align with GMD objectives.
  • Create and deliver technical documentation and presentations that effectively communicate complex concepts, status updates, analyses, and recommendations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a STEM field (Computer Science or Engineering).
  • Over 12 years of relevant experience in Systems Engineering focused on electrical, avionics, and power systems.
  • Possession of an active Secret clearance.
  • Thorough understanding of the System Engineering Life Cycle.
  • Experience in the integration of system components for Interceptors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work autonomously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with MDA operational processes.
  • Experience with Model-Based System Engineering methodologies.
  • Proficiency in developing documentation for Program Reviews and Engineering Review Boards (ERB).
  • Knowledge of TEAMS Next MDS Engineering.
