Certificates accepted from the National Council for Therapeutic Certification (NCTRC) or the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification (CBRPC) are required.
Responsibilities:- Assess patient needs and develop a therapeutic program tailored to their requirements.
- Consider medical records and conduct personal observations and talks with patients and their loved ones.
- Keep current on communal and therapeutic resources available to best support patients.
- Document patient progress during activities.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 36 months as a Recreational Therapist.
- Ability to build rapport with patients.
- Compassionate and caring demeanor.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association).
