Purpose and Scope:

The Outpatient Registered Nurse is an entry-level position in the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) at Fresenius Medical Care Holdings, Inc. This role is responsible for providing and coordinating clinically competent care for assigned patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct patient care, including administering medications, performing laboratory collections, and documenting patient information.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives and contributes to a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Assists with training and orientation of new staff members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current appropriate state licensure.
  • Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
  • Minimum of 9 months experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred).
  • Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).
Work Environment:

The Outpatient Registered Nurse works in a fast-paced healthcare environment, providing direct patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. The nurse may be required to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 200 pounds, and move equipment and supplies as needed.

Supervision:

The Outpatient Registered Nurse reports to the Supervisor and works collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
