Job Overview:
This role is focused on delivering comprehensive analysis and reporting concerning budgeting, strategic initiatives, activity-based costing, variances, patient accounts, and operational data, along with ad-hoc analytical processes that support robust financial management. This position serves as a vital resource for management decision-making. Engages in analysis of intricate projects or programs while providing specialized knowledge to uphold effective financial practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts specifically defined tasks related to both routine and complex functions, including operating budgets, capital budgets, strategic planning, and patient accounts. Ensures timely and precise completion of assigned responsibilities.
  • Utilizes expertise in financial systems such as Hyperion, Strata, Charge Master, Contracting, Costing, EDW, and ERP to fulfill job duties.
  • Coordinates the preparation and assessment of financial analyses, variance reports, and ad-hoc reports. Gathers data from various healthcare data sources and collaborates with others to compile information, manage processes, and address issues.
  • Develops and prepares quantitative reports in collaboration with internal stakeholders, leveraging data sources to analyze clinical and operational challenges.
  • Engages in complex analysis to identify financial trends and project economic forecasts, working under limited supervision.
  • May oversee data entry activities, applying knowledge of database structures and reporting capabilities.
  • Possesses intermediate to advanced programming skills, including designing, developing, and testing queries and automation procedures for data collection and reporting.
  • Creates and maintains databases for tracking performance metrics, utilizing database software knowledge.
  • Acts as a technical authority and resource for colleagues on financial systems and processes, serving as a mentor and problem solver.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with four years of relevant experience in financial analysis - OR - Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with two years of relevant experience. Degree must be obtained from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial tracking roles.
  • Proven project management skills with a high level of accuracy and sound decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficient in using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet, email, and scheduling applications.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master of Accountancy degree OR MBA.
  • Familiarity with healthcare finance and financial processes.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Proficient in operating computers and office equipment.
  • Visual acuity to read computer screens and documents.
  • Capability to remain seated or standing for extended periods while performing work-related tasks.
