Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000-$75,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes paid time off, various health insurance options, retirement benefits, and employee assistance programs.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Tech to join our team at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. As a Patient Care Tech, you will provide basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in assigned areas. Your duties will include aiding with entry and exit of patients, assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living, reporting findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff, documenting necessary records, and maintaining patient rooms clean and orderly as well as medical equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in assigned area.

+ Aid with entry and exit of patients.

+ Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.

+ Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.

+ Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment.

Requirements

+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

+ Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Additional certs may be required by specific job locations.

+ High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
