We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Pediatric Physical Therapist, you will work with our experienced team to provide high-quality care to children with a range of neurological and developmental conditions.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations to identify and assess problems, set treatment goals, and develop effective treatment plans.
- Manage resources and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and effective delivery of physical therapy services.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with department guidelines.
- Provide clinical supervision and teaching to physical therapy students or staff, and evaluate their performance.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan and coordinate clinical programs that meet the needs of patients and families.
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least two years of experience in outpatient pediatric physical therapy.
- Experience working with complex pediatric neurological diagnoses.
- Knowledge of aquatic therapy, casting for orthotic management, wheelchair and equipment evaluations, dynamic body-weight support system, and functional electrical stimulation.
This is a per diem position with variable hours and flexible days, including Saturdays. The selected candidate will work closely with an experienced team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists in an outpatient clinic setting.
