The Delaware River & Bay Authority seeks a qualified individual to fill the role of Casual Night Vessel Operator. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain marine equipment and vessels
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as pumping sewage and filling potable and flushing water tanks
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend repairs
  • Assist in the engine room during vessel operation
  • Record information in machinery logs and report completed work or needed repairs
  • Ensure cleanliness of vessel engine room and other machinery spaces

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Merchant Mariner Credential preferred
