Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Nurse to join our team at MercyOne Northeast Iowa. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of children in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide health assessments and develop health plans to promote optimal health status of children
  • Delegation of duties per Iowa Board of nursing delegation model with health assistants
  • Conduct individual and group educational encounters to promote healthy behaviors
  • Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal policies, laws and regulations
  • Administer medication and treatments as indicated, conduct client interviews, assessments and screenings, administer immunizations
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • 1 year nursing experience in a school setting is preferred
  • Current Iowa RN license; BLS; Mandatory Reporter; Valid IA driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
