Job Summary

The Director of Dining Services is a strategic business leader responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations in a community setting. This role ensures resident satisfaction by providing high-quality products and exceptional hospitality, while meeting financial goals and driving a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operating strategies aligned with Compass Community Living's business objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of departmental strategies to ensure exceptional customer service and financial performance.
  • Oversee the management of food and beverage operations, including inventory, purchasing, and cost control.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to drive business results and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations and Compass Group standards.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize financial performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field.
  • Five to seven years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control.
  • Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirable.
  • Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills to include various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, and the Internet.
