Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Officer to join our team at Louisiana Land Bank. As a Loan Officer, you will be responsible for recommending and approving loans in assigned territories, developing and managing loan portfolios, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and market new business opportunities within designated areas.
  • Meet monthly and annual sales goals and objectives.
  • Assist borrowers with their credit needs and provide solutions to credit-related issues.
  • Make and service loans, leases, and other financial products within delegated authority.
  • Conduct credit analyses and maintain accurate financial information on borrowers and guarantors.
  • Perform loan servicing tasks, including partial releases and subordinations.
  • Ensure that all assigned loans are properly risk-rated and assigned loss given defaults are correct.
  • Comply with proper credit administration practices and policies.
  • Perform collections on assigned loans and assist senior-level staff with collections.
  • Assure that adequate insurance coverage is maintained and monitor ad valorem taxes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience as a loan officer or loan officer associate.
  • General knowledge of accounting and financial systems.
  • Specialized knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic skill level in Microsoft Office applications.
Working Relationships

Frequent interaction with customers, association departmental staff, and management. Occasional interaction with senior management and/or CEO. Occasional interaction with Farm Credit Bank of Texas staff. Frequent interaction with area professionals, including real estate agents, commercial bankers, and others who deal with the association in the normal course of business.

Physical Activities

Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to stand for limited periods of time. Ability to walk for moderate distances. Frequent finger/hand manipulation. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling while exerting up to 50 pounds of force.

Policy and Compliance

Compliance with FCBT and Association technology and security standards is required.
