Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Service Apprentice to join our team at DMG MORI USA, INC. As a Service Apprentice, you will participate in comprehensive training and development programs to learn the skills necessary to repair, install, and move all DMG MORI machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete classroom, factory training, and online classes with a minimum score of 80%
  • Shadow experienced Service Engineers on service calls, traveling to customer sites to gain hands-on experience
  • Assist Service Engineers on calls, learning through observation and hands-on experience
  • Progress through the apprentice program based on competency, with certification and promotion to Service Engineer after 2 years
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, or electronic aptitude
  • Experience in CNC manufacturing, maintenance, or a related field (journeyman certificate and/or military maintenance training and experience preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills to effectively communicate with customers and internal staff
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for customer visits and trade shows
  • Ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions
Work Environment

Exposure to manufacturing/machining environments with possible hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, and heavy equipment

General office environment experienced at DMG MORI office

Physical Demands

Frequent travel, operating a vehicle, sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching

Pushing, pulling, and lifting objects up to 50lbs
