About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Costume and Wardrobe Technician to join our team at Kings Dominion. As a key member of our costume department, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining specialty costumes for our shows and holiday events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Costume Area Supervisor to ensure the quality of all themed entertainment and stage productions.
  • Assist in all costume-related aspects of haunted attractions and productions, including design, construction, and maintenance.
  • Prepare costumes for shows, including stage shows, street performers, musicians, characters, and others.
  • Maintain costume appearance and continuity, and assist show participants with fast dress changes during the show.
  • Clean performer's costumes after the show, prepare them for laundry, and use washer and dryer as directed.
  • Maintain the inventory supply of the costume shop.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in costume creation or a passion for sewing and costume design.
  • Ability to work and interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Good judgment and commitment to safety.
  • Availability to include some weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
