Access Services is in search of compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to be part of our In-Home Support team, offering both full-time and part-time positions.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in assisting adults with developmental disabilities and Autism who wish to maintain their independence in a home setting. Your daily efforts will empower individuals to thrive in their preferred living environments, enhance their autonomy, and achieve their fullest potential. Your primary objective is to deliver exceptional care tailored to each individual's needs. Comprehensive training is provided by Access Services, ensuring that prior experience is not a requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in your designated area, providing innovative support through various tasks, activities, and community involvement. Services may be delivered in clients' homes or their family residences.
- Implement support strategies as detailed in each individual's care plan, utilizing approved methods, including safe crisis intervention, emotional assistance, and positive reinforcement.
- Maintain accurate case documentation for all individuals served.
- Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Applicants must fulfill all required qualifications and ongoing job criteria, including background checks, physical assessments, and necessary clearances.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle during work hours.
- A U.S. driver's license held for at least two years (excluding permit time).
- Must be listed as a driver on a valid auto insurance policy.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary and Scheduling:
- The starting hourly wage for Direct Support Professionals is $17/hour, with potential increases based on education and experience.
- Both full-time and part-time DSP positions are available, with schedules tailored to your availability and client needs.
