About the School Bus Driver Role

At First Student, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and employees. As a School Bus Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition
  • Provide support to students by assisting with boarding and exiting the bus
  • Work collaboratively with other drivers and school staff to ensure a smooth and efficient transportation experience

What We Offer:

  • A competitive starting wage of $19/hour, with opportunities for advancement and increased earnings
  • A $500 sign-on bonus for new hires
  • Paid CDL training for those without prior experience
  • Guaranteed 4 hours of work per school day, with opportunities for additional hours and charter route work
  • 5 paid holidays per year
  • A child ride-along program for employees' children
  • No nights or weekends required

Requirements:

  • At least 21 years old
  • Valid driver's license for at least 3 years
