Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vice President of Investment Management to join our team. The successful candidate will be a leader in our Investment Management department, supporting both the Investment Management and Business Development teams in all capacities. The key areas of responsibility include:

  1. Sourcing and executing on great investments
  2. Monitoring and tracking existing investments and portfolios
  3. Assisting our Business Development Team in winning new business

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry. They will possess excellent leadership and project management skills, as well as a solid understanding of the investment management industry and the ability to manage third-party relationships effectively. The candidate will also have expertise in understanding alternative investments, including private equity, credit, venture capital, and hedge funds.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or progress toward CFA is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the investment industry or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Solid understanding of the investment management industry and ability to manage third-party relationships effectively.
  • Expertise in understanding alternative investments, including private equity, credit, venture capital, and hedge funds.
  • Basic verbal presentation skills and ability to represent the firm professionally.
  • Exceptional organizational and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong research abilities and financial knowledge, with an understanding of accounting and financial valuation as a plus.
  • Experience with DealCloud, Bloomberg, and Caissa software is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Strong understanding of macro- and micro-economic trends and ability to quickly learn and apply quantitative modeling techniques.
Compensation Structure
  • Base salary will be commensurate with experience.
  • Bonus opportunity linked to effectiveness measured by a periodic goal-setting process, with the amount of opportunity depending on value added to the organization and firm profitability.
