Job Summary
Michaels is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Team Member to join our team. As a Store Team Member, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales floor with a positive and friendly attitude.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist customers in finding products and providing solutions to their needs.
- Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Restock shelves and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an engaging shopping experience.
- Support the sales floor with a positive and friendly attitude, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Assist with receiving and processing merchandise, including unloading trucks and stocking shelves.
- Participate in inventory management and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Support the store team in achieving sales goals and objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions
- Work in a retail store environment with frequent exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental factors.
- May be required to work in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- May be required to work in a cold storage environment.
