Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Registration Specialist to join our team at North Texas Area Community Health Centers. In this role, you will be responsible for patient registration, third-party coverage verification, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

* Performs patient registration
* Responsible for third-party coverage verification
* Collects co-pays, co-insurance, and sliding fee scale portions during registration and/or exiting patient
* Checks patients in and out
* Updates financial and demographic information in the EPM system
* Maintains cash drawer accuracy and security
* Explains patient responsibility, including insurance, sliding fee scale, Medicaid, Medicare, and special programs
* Processes appointment requests and reviews current day charges with patients
* Reviews past-due balances and collects payment or promissory agreements as needed
* Balances the cash drawer at the end of the day

Requirements

* High school graduate or equivalent preferred
* One year of data entry/medical office experience preferred
* Strong customer relations skills
* Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a clinical environment
