Position Overview:
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a dedicated Psychology Supervisor to join our team. This role is essential in overseeing psychological services for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their well-being and promoting their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor Psychology Assistants within the facility.
- Design and implement comprehensive psychological services, including assessments, counseling, therapeutic interventions, and policy development.
- Chair the Human Rights Committee to evaluate and ensure the appropriateness of any restrictive measures based on individual histories.
- Conduct assessments for individuals experiencing suicidal ideation and develop safety protocols.
- Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to guarantee high-quality services for residents.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards to safeguard the health and safety of individuals.
- Provide training and educational presentations to staff on relevant psychological topics.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to uphold licensure requirements.
Work Environment:
This position requires on-site presence, with flexible working hours to accommodate the needs of the individuals served. Availability for after-hours consultation via facility-provided communication devices is expected.
