We are seeking a highly skilled Head Clerk to join our team at our Nevada City Hwy location in Grass Valley, CA. As a Head Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining store conditions, directing employees, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

• Monitor ads, promotions, and seasonal changes to ensure timely display set-ups and schematics.
• Take inventory, analyze sales, and submit product orders to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
• Stock merchandise shelves and displays to maintain an appealing appearance and ensure adequate supplies.
• Oversee and direct activities of checkers, service clerks, and others to ensure efficient customer service and safe work areas.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment to ensure the safety of customers and employees.

• Wide range of product and pricing knowledge, store layout, safe work practices, equipment operation, and merchandising.
• Ability to learn and retain policies and procedures, work within a team environment, and read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
• Four-year college degree or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience.
• Minimum six months as Key Carrier or 9 months as Perimeter Department Manager (or equivalent grocery retail management experience).
