  • Formulate individualized perioperative care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Implement care plans by:
    • Ensuring patient safety from various potential hazards, including chemical and mechanical risks.
    • Managing patient specimens in accordance with organizational policies.
    • Communicating patient status effectively to all relevant healthcare team members.
    • Performing necessary interventions to maintain the stability of critical bodily systems and balances.
    • Ensuring patients are maintained at normothermia during the immediate postoperative phase.
    • Engaging patients and their support persons in the decision-making process regarding their care plans.
  • Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and ethically sound care within legal practice standards.
  • Accurately document all nursing care provided.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the performance evaluation process.
  • Utilize problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to enhance teamwork.
  • Act as an advocate for patients while maintaining confidentiality and privacy regarding health information.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Experience with exposure to various health risks, including bloodborne pathogens and chemicals.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings.
