Cloud Systems Architect

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge cloud-based systems at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc.

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Systems Engineer to work on some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux and Networking, with the ability to design and deploy solutions at a massive scale.

They will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

• Design and architect cloud-based systems that meet the needs of our customers
• Develop and deploy scalable and secure cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

• Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
• Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
• 5+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
