Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (BSN/RN) to join our team. As a key member of our oncology department, you will be responsible for creating individualized care plans, recognizing and treating cancer-related issues, and collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Create individualized care plans for patients under your supervision and care.
  • Recognize and treat cancer-related issues.
  • Monitor and chart vital signs, weight, and height.
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.
  • Conduct cancer research to enhance treatment protocols assigned to cancer patients.
  • Provide supportive resources to patients and their families to promote a positive outlook.
  • Teach patients and their families regarding treatment expectations.
  • Monitor and record patient progress on a constant basis.
  • Chart patient response to treatment and medication.
  • Complete MAR after treatment.
  • Provide patients with discharge instructions, including emergency contact information.

Requirements:

  • A valid RN License in the State of New York.
  • At least 1 year of experience in oncology outpatient and at least 1 year of experience in administering medications.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Good computer knowledge.
  • Bi-Lingual, English/Spanish a plus.
