Position Overview

The primary role of the Room Attendant is to ensure that guest accommodations and common areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This is essential for guest satisfaction and contributes to the overall success of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that hotel rooms and facilities are kept clean and safe for guests, staff, and service providers.
  • Prepare cleaning carts with necessary supplies and maintain organization in storage areas to facilitate efficient cleaning operations.
  • Thoroughly clean windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in guest rooms, public spaces, and corridors.
  • Sanitize shower walls, tubs, toilets, and stall walls, ensuring that all restrooms are hygienic and well-maintained.
  • Restock towels, soaps, and other room amenities, ensuring that supplies are available for incoming guests.
  • Clean hard floor surfaces to remove dirt and maintain a pristine environment.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and wall decorations to enhance the overall appearance of the rooms.
  • Strip beds of used linens and replace them with fresh, clean bedding.
  • Inspect closets for cleanliness and restock guest supplies as needed.
  • Vacuum guest rooms, public areas, and hallways to maintain cleanliness.
  • Check the functionality of door and window locks, reporting any safety concerns to management immediately.
  • Test lights and remote controls to ensure they are operational.
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude while interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications

  • Familiarity with general cleaning practices, cleaning agents, and standard cleaning equipment.
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including reaching, bending, and lifting.
  • Capability to maneuver equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills with guests and team members.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Work Environment

This position requires standing for extended periods, along with bending, stooping, and repetitive motions. The work is primarily conducted in a climate-controlled environment.
