Position Overview

The University of New Mexico is seeking qualified adjunct faculty members to instruct and develop lower division courses in the Theatre Arts discipline. This role is essential for delivering high-quality education to students and enhancing their learning experience.

Department Information

The Fine Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences Division at the University of New Mexico is dedicated to providing a diverse range of educational programs that cater to the unique needs of our community.

Responsibilities

Selected candidates will be responsible for:
  • Conducting face-to-face classes during scheduled times, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • Delivering course content effectively and engagingly.
  • Developing assignments and assessments that align with course objectives.
  • Grading assignments and reporting student progress as required.
  • Ensuring a supportive learning environment that promotes student success.


Compensation

Compensation for adjunct faculty is based on qualifications and credit hour course loads.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Theatre or a related field, or a combination of at least 36 graduate credit hours in Theatre along with relevant industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in college-level teaching.
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, along with experience working with diverse communities.
