Transformative Care for Cancer and Chronic Illness Patients

City of Hope is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to delivering innovative treatments and compassionate care to patients with cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses. As a Registered Nurse in our Dialysis Unit, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs through a holistic approach and provide information to physicians and other healthcare professionals on any changes in patient condition.
  • Plan, deliver, direct, coordinate, and evaluate therapeutic interventions based on needs identified in the assessment process.
  • Provide patient and family education on disease process, side effects of treatment, and health promotion, ensuring informed decision-making regarding the individual's therapeutic plan.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and accrediting agencies, and participate in the development, review, and updating of policies and procedures.
  • Obtain patient medical history and medication information, verify and note physician orders, and provide safe delivery of prescribed medications and treatments.
Qualifications:
  • Current Georgia RN license from an accredited college.
  • BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date.
  • BLS (Obtain AHA certification within 30 days of hire).
  • ACLS (Obtain AHA certification within 30 days of hire).
  • Dialysis and/or Oncology experience preferred.
