Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Activities Therapist to join our team at Highland Springs, a 72-bed behavioral hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. As an Activities Therapist, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing treatment plans that promote patient engagement, socialization, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care and effective interventions.
  • Provide direction and guidance to nursing staff on activity-related groups and therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal treatment outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreational, Music, or Art Therapy or a related field.
  • Licensure or certification in the state of practice.
  • CPR and CPI certification within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with a focus on chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients.
