Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Med Surg

TLC Nursing is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Med Surg to join our team in Brenham, Texas.

Job Summary

The Travel Nurse RN Med Surg will provide comprehensive care to patients in a medical-surgical setting, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and monitor the physical, emotional, and educational needs of patients
  • Administer medications, including IV therapy and blood products
  • Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures
  • Monitor and interpret vital signs
  • Document patient care in the medical record
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment in the unit
Qualifications
  • Current RN license
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Med-Surg RN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in high-stress situations
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
