About the Role:

Amentum is seeking a highly motivated and self-starting Risk Mitigation Specialist to join our team. As a Risk Mitigation Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks that could impact our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
  • Conduct risk assessments and analyze data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management plans.
  • Provide technical direction and feedback to team members on risk management practices.
  • Conduct peer reviews of risk management plans and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to risk management.

Requirements:

  • Active TS-SCI Clearance required.
  • At least 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to risk management, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Desired Education: Bachelor's degree in an area related to risk management from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in risk treatment or risk management, or education in risk management systems or guidelines.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, as well as a good command of the English language.
  • Ability to lift general office items (20-30lbs).
  • Expected in-office work five days a week with occasional telework.
  • U.S. driver's license and be capable of operating government vehicles.

Preferred:

  • DCSA and DoD work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

This is an in-office position, with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting up to 20-30 lbs., constant sitting while using a computer, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities to communicate, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
