Position Overview

The role involves a Quality Engineer dedicated to managing and enhancing the quality assurance processes for key projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate ASME NQA1 training and certification initiatives.
  • Draft and evaluate procedures mandated by NQA1.
  • Serve as the main quality liaison for designated clients.
  • Direct technical investigations and implement corrective measures.
  • Perform regular inspections during fabrication and assembly stages.
  • Assist in internal auditing processes (NQA1, ISO 9001).
  • Create and oversee project Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Management Plans.
  • Manage the collection and resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) in accordance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct evaluations of suppliers.
  • Establish and track essential quality metrics.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues related to nonconforming products and improve their operational performance.
  • Provide support to Quality Inspectors.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques.
  • Knowledge of the NQA1 Standard: 2008 with 2009 supplement.
  • QMS Lead Auditor certification is preferred.

Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Specialist in an environment with a certified or compliant NQA1 quality system.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is required.
