Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Job Description

As a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse, you will provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your expertise will be essential in assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assessing patients' conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Support patients and their families emotionally, providing education on treatments and procedures, and promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and ensure adherence to hospital policies and protocols.
Requirements:
  • Current RN license
  • BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
  • 2 years of recent PICU nursing experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
