Role Overview
The Field Service Technician will utilize a service vehicle to enhance our market presence within the designated territory. This role involves fostering and sustaining customer relationships, managing tool repair and calibration requirements, and serving as a technical advisor to address various application challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel across the assigned territory to engage with existing and potential customers, performing repairs and calibrations while providing technical guidance.
  • Leverage technical expertise along with company training to resolve customer inquiries and issues, including troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and manual tools, pumps, and equipment.
  • Follow company protocols, safety standards, and schedules regarding daily operations, including scheduled repairs, calibrations, and outreach to prospective clients as directed by the Branch Manager.
  • Report to the Branch Manager on schedule updates, completed tasks, market insights, and weekly activity reports.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager, service team members, engineers, and customers to address daily repair demands.
  • Aim to achieve goals and Key Performance Indicators set by the Branch Manager.
  • Support territory managers in identifying and developing sales and service opportunities.
  • Inspect tools for safety compliance and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Assist in training customers on the operation and upkeep of tools.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to customer service through positive and professional interactions.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for repairs and calibrations.
  • Manage inventory to ensure availability of parts and tools for customers, maintaining detailed records.
  • Ensure that the service vehicle meets safety standards through regular maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications
High School diploma required.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on mechanical or technical experience.
Self-motivated with a strong drive for success.
Proven track record in customer satisfaction.
Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
Valid driver's license required.
Access to a safe and secure location for overnight vehicle storage.

Technical Skills
Proficiency in basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment
This position involves travel throughout the assigned territory to engage with customers for tool repairs and calibrations, which are conducted within the service area of the company vehicle.
