Key Responsibilities:

The primary role of the Life Enrichment Support Specialist is to motivate and guide our adult clients in achieving their personal goals and realizing their full potential. This position may also involve providing support in various Life Enrichment initiatives, including Vocational and Residential Programs. Internal training will be provided to enhance your skills and knowledge in this field.

Specific Duties:
  • Collaborate with members of the Life Enrichment and Outreach teams to coordinate care and facilitate transitions for clients.
  • Implement individualized behavior plans in consultation with Board-Certified Behavior Analysts.
  • Opportunity to complete a 40-hour course to achieve Registered Behavior Technician certification, available for full-time staff.
  • Assist clients in reaching educational objectives such as typing, reading, and coding.
  • Engage clients in recreational activities, including skiing, hiking, and paddle boarding.
  • Support clients in workplace environments, assisting with tasks as needed.
  • Provide both onsite instruction and offsite training for essential work skills.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred knowledge of autism and its impact on individuals.
  • Ability to learn and apply behavioral strategies effectively.
  • Understanding of nutrition and basic cooking skills.
  • Familiarity with fitness and willingness to participate in physical activities.
  • Strong active listening, coaching, and supervisory skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years old with legal work authorization.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Clear background check with no felonies.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to travel for professional development and client activities.
  • Personal smartphone required for work purposes, with a monthly stipend provided.
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., MS Office, email).
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
