Elementary School Speech-Language Pathologist in El Monte, CA

Soliant is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support K-6 students with mild-moderate needs in the El Monte, CA area. As a school-based SLP, you will assess students referred for possible speech and language needs, report findings, and propose appropriate support as part of the IEP process. You will also provide individual and/or group therapy sessions, consult with teachers and administrators, and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
- California Speech-Language Pathology License
- Clinical Fellows must have an active RPE in order to be considered for this position
- Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs
- Report findings and propose appropriate support as part of the IEP process
- Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders
- Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns
- Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload
- Provide reports of a student's progress to parents
- Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school
- Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid organization skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of California Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings
