Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Food and Nutrition Services to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, administration, and direction of all food service activities across our locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, administer, and direct all food service activities, including financial management, compliance with regulatory standards, and quality assurance.
  • Lead and manage the food and nutrition services department, ensuring effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food and nutrition service experience for patients, residents, visitors, and employees.
  • Establish and maintain regulatory compliance with food and nutrition services policies and procedures, addressing safe practices for food handling, emergency food supplies, menu planning, purchasing, and storage of food and supplies.
  • Manage department human resources, ensuring effective employee orientation, training, and development, supervision of work, employee performance, wage/benefit administration, and compliance with established labor regulations and hospital or CommonSpirit Health human resources policies and procedures.
  • Monitor department performance through assessment and analysis of customer/patient satisfaction systems, quality and nutritional assessments, inspections, and financial reports.
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) years of hospital nutrition management experience or three (3) years of high-volume food service management experience, or a combination of both totaling three (3) years of management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field, or three (3) years of equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian. If not currently certified, certification (CDM) to be obtained within 24 months of hire; unless otherwise required by State or local health code.
  • Current certification as a ServSafe Food Protection Manager and ServSafe Allergen Certifications. Certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire; unless otherwise required by state or local health code.

Pay Range: $37.64 - $63.50 / hour
