Key Responsibilities:As the Director of Real Estate & Engineering, you will manage a dynamic group of legal professionals specializing in real estate. Your expertise will be crucial in handling a high volume of intricate transactions with accuracy and speed.
By fostering teamwork, ensuring compliance, and optimizing processes, you will not only meet but surpass the demands of a fast-paced real estate sector. Your leadership will empower your team to achieve excellence, making a meaningful impact on the organization's success.
What You Will Do:- Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of attorneys and legal professionals focused on negotiating and drafting complex agreements, including master lease agreements and site leases.
- Provide strategic legal counsel on land use, zoning, and permitting issues related to wireless infrastructure deployment.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in negotiating transactions with national landlords and telecom carriers.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, interpreting and resolving local permitting and ordinance challenges.
- Build strategic relationships with government agencies at all levels.
- Develop and implement tools and processes to enhance efficiency and consistency in legal service management.
- Oversee RFPs and manage external legal resources effectively.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admission to a state bar, with the capability to practice in-house counsel.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in-house or at a law firm.
- A results-oriented mindset with the executive maturity to provide legal guidance to senior management.
- Proven success in leading diverse teams and managing high transaction volumes.
- Strong collaboration skills and a positive attitude, along with excellent communication and analytical abilities.
- Experience in developing and implementing efficient workflow and contract management processes.
- The ability to manage multiple responsibilities and complex projects effectively.
The base pay range for this position is $202,700 - $274,300, with a corporate bonus target of 25%. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
