Memorial Hermann Healthcare System has an exciting opportunity for a Trauma Medical Director to join our Emergency Medicine team at Huntsville Memorial Hospital, located north of Houston. Our hospital is a level IV trauma center, treating approximately 21,900 patients annually.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of $**$400,000 - $600,000 per year**, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including generous compensation and flexible scheduling.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting high standards of practice through the development of trauma policies, protocols, and practice guidelines. They will also participate in performance improvement monitoring, resident, and staff education.
- Lead efforts to develop and maintain a trauma center.
- Collaborate with the Trauma Program Coordinator to establish trauma program goals and objectives consistent with hospital policies.
- Implement all trauma program policies and procedures related to patient care.
- Organize, direct, and integrate the trauma program with all other departments and services within the hospital.
- Promote a cooperative and collaborative working environment among clinical disciplines involved in trauma care.
- Determine and implement performance improvement activities appropriate to the trauma program.
- Currently certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
- Other administrative services as requested by leadership.
